By accessing or using Adesto, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use the Services. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you represent that you have reviewed these Terms with your parent or legal guardian and that they agree to these Terms on your behalf.
COPPA Compliance: Adesto does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
Adesto is a "presence layer" that allows you to coordinate shared physical space through "Spaces," messaging, and presence signals.
Your Conduct: You agree not to use the app for unlawful purposes, harassment, or "grieving" others in physical spaces.
Physical Safety: Adesto does not own or manage the physical locations (e.g., coffee shops or parks) listed in the app. Your decision to visit a location or interact with other users in person is at your own risk.
You are responsible for the security of your account and the accuracy of your profile. Because Adesto uses Supabase for secure authentication, we do not store your passwords; however, you are responsible for any activity that occurs under your unique User ID.
You retain full ownership of the content you create. By posting, you grant Adesto a limited, worldwide license to store, display, and distribute your content solely to operate the app's features (e.g., showing your signal in a Space).

Adesto reserves the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms, harass others, or compromise the safety of the community, both online and in coordinated physical environments.
Your use of Adesto is governed by our Privacy Policy. Because Adesto's core utility relies on precise location data (via Mapbox), you acknowledge that sharing "Presence Signals" involves sharing your approximate or precise location with other users in a Space.
Adesto is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. As we develop Adesto, features may change, be suspended, or be discontinued at any time without notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Adesto (and its founders/operators) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including personal injury or property damage, arising from your use of the app or your interactions with other users. You agree to indemnify Adesto against any claims resulting from your breach of these terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
Mandatory Arbitration: You agree that any legal dispute will be settled through binding arbitration in Chicago, IL, and you waive your right to participate in a class-action lawsuit.
